RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Responsibilities
- Facilitate and coordinate beneficiary management processes and approvals.
- Ensure approval of beneficiaries in line with annual performance plan and operational plan targets.
- Provide support to municipalities and regional offices via workshops and other initiatives to ensure credibility of the process.
- Engage continuously with ICT to ensure reliable regional network functionality for smooth capturing on HSS.
- Administer and facilitate individual subsidy approvals, ensuring required documentation is provided to avoid delays.
- Participate in public hearings to address beneficiary administration issues and devise solutions.
- Develop templates to capture issues raised during hearings and monitor progress.
- Compile reports to serve as the basis for engagement between management and stakeholders.
- Participate in door-to-door campaigns to support the beneficiary correct occupation initiative, ensuring alignment between HSS data and actual housing unit occupation.
- Manage sub-directorate effectively, including coordination, compilation and submission of statutory and ad hoc reports.
- Prepare strategic documents including annual performance plans, operational plans, and budgets.
- Monitor directorate performance and prepare required reports.
- Conclude work plan agreements with personnel and identify staff development needs.

Manage human resources, financial resources, and staff performance in line with PMDS.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate.

National Diploma (NQF level 6) or Bachelor’s Degree (NQF level 7) in:
Public Administration
Human Settlements
Social Science
Public Management
Or equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA. - 5 years’ experience in the field.
- 3 years’ experience as an Assistant Director in the field.
- Knowledge of monitoring and evaluation, government policies and prescripts, government programme of action, public service regulatory framework, information management, and performance management.
- Human Settlements experience will be an added advantage.
