RESPONSIBILITIES
Main Responsibilites
- Monitor administration of contracts and service level agreements.
- Ensure completeness and correctness of documentation.
- Align contracts with specifications and terms of reference.
- Draft agreements and facilitate signing after amendments.
- Compile follow-up amendments when required.
- Monitor contracts, transversal contracts and service level agreements.
- Track status and deliverables of contracts.
- Analyse information and identify risks, developing risk mitigation plans.
- Monitor fiscal obligations, policies, quality, and outcomes.
- Manage disputes in contracts and service level agreements.
- Gather, analyse, and conclude on relevant information for disputes.
- Act as mediator and facilitate dispute resolution.
- Effect amendments or recommend legal action where necessary.
- Provide evidence in court as required.
- Manage directorate resources, employee job descriptions, and staff performance.
- Maintain sound employment relations and manage employee conditions of service.
- Facilitate coaching, mentoring, training and development of employees.
- Oversee communication management, financial management, and asset management.
- Manage planning processes, risk mitigation, and change management in the directorate.
- Attend to Internal Audit and Auditor-General requests, audit outcomes and findings.
- Develop Audit Intervention Plans.
- Produce compliance reports (monthly, quarterly, annual).

Manage the development of directorate policies.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate.

Undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in:
LLB
BJuris
BProc
Bachelor of Laws
Or equivalent qualification as recognised by SAQA. - 5 years’ experience at middle/senior management level.
- SMS Pre-entry Certificate (to be submitted by shortlisted candidates, online at www.thensg.gov.za).
- Substantial management experience with sound knowledge of government systems, legislation and regulations.
- Highly diligent, confident, and able to take initiative.
- Strong communication, project management, presentation, report writing, planning, organising, problem solving and analysis skills.
- Ability to work in a team and under pressure with strict deadlines.
- Effective and efficient budget and expenditure management skills.
- Computer literacy.
